Spring Break to Botswana

Brent took a team of 21 college students from Providence Baptist Church to Botswana for their Spring Break. They were able to share the gospel with so many people and many chose to follow Jesus.

They conducted evangelism in an outdoor market, neighborhoods, and on Canpus at the University of Botswana. They held a VBS for the children at Gaborone Baptist Church and visited the local pediatric oncology ward to do play therapy with the kids.  They did village evangelism one day and it opened a door for them to share the gospel with 500 high school students at their assembly. They also hosted the Fusion high school students for the day and many gave their lives to Jesus. And of course you can’t go to Africa without experiencing a safari elephant 🐘

These students boldly shared about Jesus and are on fire to see His names proclaimed to the nations.  Praise the Lord!!

Happy birthday, Brent

Brent was in Botswana for his birthday, so once he got home we had to celebrate with Carvel Ice Cream cake and a trip to The Pit for the best BBQ I have ever tasted.  Happy birthday, Brent!

Dix Park Trolls

During Taylor’s spring break, we had such a fun time exploring Dix Park to find the 5 trolls located throughout the park. Thomas Dambo has put these trolls around the world, it was fun to see in person.

Dream House Project

Ellie loves school so much. She was recently tasked with making her dream house for a school project. All was designed around the Pool Room 😊

First in Fitness

Ellie was chosen as the girl from the 3rd grade to represent her school in ‘Speed Rope’. Out of 28 schools, Ellie placed 6th with 130 skips in 60 seconds. We are so proud of her!

Spring has sprung flower

Living in Botswana, we don’t get to experience the 4 seasons, so being here for a year has just been beautiful and I appreciate each season so much more. The trees are in full bloom here in Raleigh (along with the piles of pollen), and I have enjoyed walks to see each new tree blooming in its own timing.
