We received such a warm welcome back home to Botswana. We have had so much fun reconnecting with friends, ministry partners, our animals, and Ellie is back in school.

After an unfortunate delay with Ellie’s passport, 10 days later we were on our way back home to Botswana. We had a 13 hour layover in London so decided to explore a bit.

Since we had to go renew Ellie’s passport before we could travel, we had an unexpected trip to Washington DC to the Passport facility. Thankfully they were able to process her passport in a day. We took in some of the sights of beautiful DC while we waited and the kids got an amazing US History review.
We have several opportunities that you can serve with us in Botswana. Reach out if you have any questions.

Description:
This trip is designed for students that love to travel and share the Gospel. You will travel around Botswana working with local churches in order to share the Gospel. Each week will be different and will include evangelism, kids ministry, church work, and building relationships. Botswana is a beautiful country with amazing people and you will get to know and experience a different culture and have the opportunity to share your faith and make disciples.
On August 24, we packed our 13 bags and arrived at the airport in Raleigh to begin our journey back to Botswana. As we made our way to the ticket counter, we were told that Ellie’s passport expires in 5 1/2 months and that she needed at least 6 months to be able to enter Botswana. We tried everything that we could, but they would not allow us to travel. We felt defeated and made our way back to the Mission home that Providence Church has so graciously allowed us to stay in over the last year. We will drive to DC for an appointment on August 27 to get a new passport for Ellie and then we will fly out on September 2. Please pray for all to work out, we are all disappointed and ready to be back home in Botswana. BUT we know God is in control and His ways are higher than our ways. We will eat a little more Chick-fil-a and be on our way soon…
The Muth Family who stayed in our house this last year, came to visit us in Raleigh before we left. It was so great to catch up with them and the College students from Providence Church who took a Spring Break trip this year to Botswana also joined us for ice cream at Two Roosters. So thankful for all of these students and the Muth family ❤️
We are so proud of all of our nieces and nephew. Our niece Noa is a Freshman at NC state and was so fun to get to see her in her element and take her for dinner before we leave. Ainsley is entering her Senior Year of high school and works at JTs Creamery and got to visit her and taste the most amazing Coffee Oreo ice cream.
We hosted a Goodbye Party for Ellie and all of her sweet friends she has made during our time in the States. Thankful for the Lord’s provision of friends for each of our kids.
Dropped Taylor off for her sophomore year at Liberty University!
We are so incredibly proud of her and all that God is doing in her life. This drop-off felt a little harder this year knowing that we leave Monday, August 24, to head back to Botswana. 🇧🇼❤️ We are excited to see how God continues to lead and use Taylor in this next year!
Here is her address if you would like to encourage her with a note 💌
