Friends

I recently read a quote "It's the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey." This is so true of the sweet friendship I have had with Allison. I have known my her since 2010 just 9 months after we began our journey in Africa. Allison came with some other college students for a summer program and we just fell in love with her. She came back to Botswana for 2 years after she finished college to work with Orphaned and Vulnerable Children. She and her husband now work full time for a company called Reclaimed and do full time ministry in Lesotho working with the Orphaned and Vulnerable Children there. Recently, our husbands were together for a week doing some hunting, so Allison and I were blessed to spend the week together at my house. She has 2 of the most wonderful and adorable children I have ever met. So thankful the Lord has provided such a wonderful friend to walk this journey with here in Africa.

Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

Every day we face so many choices, what to eat, what to wear, which road to take, and the list could go on and on. The other day we had a volunteer team here from Virginia Tech BCM and we were out doing evangelism. We were going house to house and when we entered this particular yard, we saw 2 young men sitting together. As we began sharing with them, we found out they were brothers. They both were interested in what we were sharing with them about how they had to choose whether to remain on the wide path or to choose to follow Christ and begin their journey on the narrow path that is talked about in Matthew 7:13-14. One of the brothers chose that day to give his life to the Lord, but sadly the other chose to reject Christ. We ask that you pray for both of these young men, that one would grow in his faith and that the other would choose to follow Christ. We all have many choices to make in life, I challenge you today to "choose this day whom you will serve."

Bibles

Many thanks to First Baptist Church in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee, for giving bibles so that each person in the below pictures received a bible after they accepted Christ.

Virginia Tech BCM

We had such an amazing time with the Virginia Tech BCM. We were able to work with 2 of our Baptist churches here in Gaborone-Naledi and Bosele-we would do door to door evangelism in the mornings and a children's program in the afternoons. Many seeds were planted and many came to know the Lord...we give all the glory to God for what was accomplished.
