On August 24, we packed our 13 bags and arrived at the airport in Raleigh to begin our journey back to Botswana. As we made our way to the ticket counter, we were told that Ellie’s passport expires in 5 1/2 months and that she needed at least 6 months to be able to enter Botswana. We tried everything that we could, but they would not allow us to travel. We felt defeated and made our way back to the Mission home that Providence Church has so graciously allowed us to stay in over the last year. We will drive to DC for an appointment on August 27 to get a new passport for Ellie and then we will fly out on September 2. Please pray for all to work out, we are all disappointed and ready to be back home in Botswana. BUT we know God is in control and His ways are higher than our ways. We will eat a little more Chick-fil-a and be on our way soon…
