Tropic of Capricorn

Did you know the Tropic of Capricorn runs through Botswana? Thankful my high school geography teacher Miss Mason taught me where the Tropic of Capricorn was located…she probably never thought this little West Virginia girl would stand on it one day ❤️ thankful for teachers who invest in us and help us realize there is a big world out there and it needs to be explored 🌍

Happy 15th birthday, Taylor!

June 29: Happy 15th birthday to our amazing TAYLOR GRACE 🎉

Go Impact

‘Go Impact’ is a program offered through the IMB for high school students to take a one week mission trip to serve overseas with an IMB missionary. We were able to host 15 students from Hope Church in Las Vegas, Nevada June 19-27.

We started the week with evangelism each morning and a Kids Club each afternoon at Gaborone Baptist Church.

On Saturday, we hosted a Family Fun Day and had about 300 people come through.

Saturday evening everyone came to our home for a combine Fusion (high school program) and Elev8 (middle school program). Somehow we hosted 80+ people at our home and managed to play a game of Fear Factor.

Trenton did an amazing job sharing the gospel that evening with the kids and challenging them.

Chicken hearts may have been involved in Fear Factor 🙈

We hiked Kgale Hill their last day with youth from 3 of our local Baptist churches.

Each evening we had a time of worship, lesson, and discussed ‘highs, lows, and buffaloes’. What an amazing time together!!!

Nehemiah Teams

Nehemiah Teams is a program through the IMB where students can serve for 2 months during June/July. It’s a good glimpse for students to get a little closer/deeper glimpse into what it’s like to serve as a missionary.

We have enjoyed having them here with us and they have come prepared to share the gospel. Pray for them by name over the next month as they help strengthen many of our Baptist churches throughout Botswana and share the gospel.

~Nate, Kenna, Mabry, Elena, Gracie, and Micah
