We were so honored to be back at Brent’s church in Clarksburg, Maryland where he grew up. We were able to share what the Lord is doing in Botswana and meet with the missions committee and dear family friends afterwards. So thankful for Greenridge Baptists Church and how they care for their community.

Senders Summit
We were so excited to attend a Senders Summit at the IMB headquarters in Richmond, VA. It was amazing to see so many churches gathered to try to develop a pipeline to send missionaries out in partnership with the IMB. There will be another one next year if you’re interested.
The Senders Summit is for ministry leaders looking to start or enhance your efforts to prepare individuals and families for mid-term and long-term missions and ministry.
They had opportunities to do the following:
- Share the vision and details of your established missionary pipeline (sometimes called cohorts or residencies) with other ministry leaders.
- Network with other “pipeline-minded” ministry leaders and missionaries.
- Attend informative and interactive sessions designed for multiple participants from the same ministry team.
- Develop a game plan to develop believers for life-long service in their local context.
Washington DC
Brent was scheduled to speak at his home church in Maryland. We took a few hours traveling up to walk around DC. What a beautiful city! After about 3 miles my feet were killing me and we rented little scooters…most fun ever!!!
Happy 8th birthday, Ellie
Our sweet Ellie turned 8 on September 7. She has made a couple of close friends at school so we invited them to the jump park and then to our home to celebrate. So thankful for this little bundle of energy the Lord has blessed us with ❤️
Medadvance Conference
Soon after our arrival to the States, we were able to be a part of a Medadvance Conference specifically for healthcare professionals looking to serve on short term trips, mid term (2-3 years), or long term.
Alongside of our colleagues, we were able to share all that God is doing in Sub-Saharan Africa through Healthcare strategies.
Ellie-3rd Grade
Sweet Ellie was so excited for her 3rd grade year and getting to ride the school bus to school every day (life goals). We prayed the Lord would provide a sweet friendship for her and He has done just that.
Bradyn-9th grade
We are so thankful that Bradyn has started his 9th grade school year off so well at North Raleigh Christian Academy. His classmates have been so welcoming and he joined the football team…yep American football 🏈 He may not know anything about football, but he LOVES being part of a team.
Liberty University
2 weeks after our arrival to the States, we took Taylor to Liberty University to begin her Freshman year. What a sweet time to drop our daughter off at the school we both graduated from. It has changed A LOT since our time!! It’s so exciting to see the many programs offered to students to train ‘Champions for Christ.’
Thank you, Providence
We are so thankful for Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC that has made our transition back to the States for this year seamless. They have provided such a wonderful home and a car for us during our time here and we have been so spiritually refreshed by attending church each Sunday. We have felt so loved!!
Goodbye Botswana 🇧🇼
The end of July, we said goodbye to Botswana (for a year). We will be in Raleigh, NC during our time but have many speaking engagements across the States. We would love to connect with you while we are here.
