Happy birthday, Brent

 Brent celebrated his 44th birthday on March 21 and he wanted to go ride water slides on his birthday…I swear he is my biggest kid 😂 so we took a trip to Sun City and everyone had a blast.  Happy birthday, Brent 🎉

PTA

 I really love being a part of the kids PTAs at their schools. It’s been such a great way to get to know the other parents and get to be involved in their school activities.  We are blessed to have such amazing schools for them to attend in our city.

Ellie’s Play

 Ellie participated in her first school play called ‘Let’s go to the planets’. She was the cutest little Neptune ever!! She had some rocking dance moves as well that kept us smiling.

Seminary Graduation

We just held our 4th graduation ceremony for the Baptist Convention Seminary in Botswana. These students each completed a year long Certificate level program in Ministry and Theology. 

Brent is honored to be the Dean of Students and does a great job with the other teachers in training up the students. So proud of the valedictorian Nametso Kabika, she worked so hard as did each of the students 🎉

 

Remembrance Day

Prior to Covid, I would volunteer at the government hospital with the kids who were hospitalized with cancer. There is an amazing program through Botswana Baylor that has transformed children’s lives by providing cancer treatment.  Awareness is also being spread around the country so these cases can be caught sooner with a better chance at treating it. 

They host a Remembrance Day each year to remember the kids who have passed away from cancer. I was so honored to join them this year for this special day ❤️

 I love when my kids do Ministry alongside of me. I love to see them enjoy and plug into anywhere they go…makes this mama heart happy.

Rainy day fun

Our rainy season normally ends in February but we had a late rain this year. The kids had so much fun playing in the rain 🌧️ I think this is one of those days they will always remember  ❤️

 

Gaborone Dam

 We love going out to the Gaborone Dam and taking kayaks and canoes. Something is just so relaxing about being on the water…refreshes the soul ❤️

World Math Day

 Ellie and Bradyn loved dressing up for ‘World Math Fay’ at their school.  I love my little Cutie pi ❤️

Cricket

 Bradyn loves playing cricket. He had a great season playing on both his school team and a weekend club team. We had to learn A LOT about this sport Americans are not so familiar with and have enjoyed watching his matches. His club team won 2nd place…well done Afmac Beasts!

Africans Reaching Africans Mission Trip

We are so excited to announce that we will be taking several Batswana on their first international mission trip to Rundu, Namibia April 14-21, 2023. If you have been on a mission trip to Botswana, most likely you have met several of those who will be going on the trip as they have partnered alongside of you as interpreters and sharing Christ with those here in Botswana. The excitement to go on their first mission trip abroad is exhilarating. 

We will be partnering with Bethel Baptist Church in Canton, NC and will be targeting an Unreached People Group called the Kwangali with the gospel. We have prayed for the Kwangali for years and thankful for this opportunity to actually get to go and share the gospel with them. 

Please pray specifically for the dates of April 14-21 as we travel to Rundu, Namibia to share the gospel with the Kwangali People Group that hearts would be receptive to the gospel.
