We are so thankful for Brent…he is the best husband, father, and best friend. March 21, he celebrated his 45th birthday and Ellie made him the sweetest gift. Ellie loves drawing so Brent had asked her to draw a card with a dragon riding a bike. She took it a step further and actually made him a t-Shirt that included herself, daddy, and the dragon all riding the bike together. The best gifts are homemade and made with loads of love ❤️

Providence Team in Botswana
We were so excited to have our home church from Raleigh, NC at Providence Baptist Church bring a team of university students to minister alongside of us in Botswana. What a blessing the team was to so many, especially our family.
They certainly hit the ground running and shared the gospel at every opportunity. We started off with a youth night at Gaborone Baptist Church with all of the teens and young adults from the surrounding churches, hiked Kgale Hill, evangelized at Main Mall, ran a VBS program every afternoon, evangelized on campus at the University of Botswana, and conducted a full day of ministry with our Fusion (high school) kids.
PTA school fair
I love being a part of my kids schools through their PTA’s. This year I (Amanda) helped organize and plan the big school fair at the kids high school. We had nearly 3,000 people attend and it was such a fun day. I so enjoy getting to know the other parents and my kids school friends through this avenue.
Girl trip to Johannesburg
Children’s Friday Ministry
I love having the Journeygirls here and their passion for sharing Jesus. They have been such a huge help with the Children’s Friday Ministry each week at Gaborone Baptist Church and so refreshing for me.
Valentine’s Day
Open doors at UB
In preparation of bringing a group of university students from the States to interact with University Students from America, Julia and Amanda went on campus at the University of Botswana (UB) to start paving the way and getting the proper permissions. We ran into Shelly who helped us with a past team and she gave us a campus tour and let us meet her precious daughter.
I love this statue of the cow signifying how every family in Botswana donated one cow to help fund and start the Univeristy of Botswana.
Africans on Mission
Brent was so blessed to be a part of a group missionaries and national pastors/leaders from Madagascar, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Kenya to help develop Africans on Mission. This is an organization designed to help send Africans to the nations. ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel.’
Flamingo migration
Rarely have we had the opportunity to see the flamingos as they have been migrating to the salt pans to have their babies. This year we were able to see them in our city at our local game reserve. Such cool creatures 🦩
Fusion Kick Off
We love hosting our Fusion (high school) students at our home once a month. This year we are continuing our series on Identity. We challenged the students to think of a word to define their year and below is a compiled list of what they came up with. Pray for these kids to grow in their knowledge but especially their relationships with the Lord.
2024 New School Year
The kids all started a new school year in January. Ellie is now in 1st grade and is the only child still left at primary school. Bradyn has officially started high school and entered 8th grade. Taylor is in her 11th grade year.
