Cousins and Friends

We have enjoyed cousin time both in Raleigh, NC and at the beach. Cousins are truly forever friends and they always pick right up where they left off. 

We also got to visit lifelong friends of ours-Nick and Dana Babbs and meet their precious baby girl. We met Nick and Dana when we were first married and attending Providence Baptist Church’s Young Marrieds Life Group. We are thankful for friendships that span the ages and distance.

Happy 4th birthday, Ellie!

Elephants by far are one of our favorite animals. It's amazing to observe a family of elephants and to watch their dynamics. We have had the privilege of seeing the cutest babies playing, juveniles mock charging us, and matriarchs giving that low rumble to communicate to the rest of the family that it's time to move on. We've had elephants wander through our campsite and watched them swim in the Chobe River. 

A little over 4 years ago, we were on a safari and were throwing out names for this precious baby girl who was going to join our family soon. None of us could agree on her name and we came upon a herd of elephants. We lovingly call them "Ellies" and at that moment we all knew this new little one who would join our family that September would be named "Ellie" after these majestic animals. So thankful for our precious Ellie Carolina as she celebrated her 4th birthday on September 7.  

Speaking engagements

We have been enjoying our time in the States connecting with churches in NC, SC, and AL.  Our projected return to Botswana is November 1. We will be doing quite a bit of traveling over the next month and if we are in your area, we would love to see you.

Martin family

We were so thankful to get to spend a week with the Martin’s at the beach. From Luaus to Pinatas to Escape rooms to glow parties…lots of fun was had.  

Orcas Island

 After a week in America, we finally got to see our first bit of family-The Turners. We traveled to Orcas Island just off the Washington Coast and spent a week with everyone. Beautiful place and amazing memories.
