11 years ago when we moved half way around the world to Botswana and were far awayfrom family and a culture that has its own traditions around Christmas time, we quickly learned that we had to make our own traditions. We have made swimming a Christmas tradition since this is the hottest time of year in the Southern Hemisphere. We also have loads of other traditions that we live doing as a family or including friends to join us.
I never did Advent as a kid, but have learned to love doing that as focus on the true meaning of Christmas and a countdown to the birth of our Savior and to set our minds on that rather than gifts I do still have kids so yes we do a Santa countdown as well ❤️
We always do ‘Christmas Crackers’ or poppers and each person gets a crown, joke, and small toy.
