Christmas Day
This year we celebrated our 6th Christmas in Africa. At first, it was hard to get into the Christmas spirit with it being so hot outside (around 100 degrees everyday this time of year), but now we have come to embrace our new “idea” of Christmas.
We start our morning by everyone opening their stockings.
Then Brent reads the Christmas story to us.
Bradyn got a bow and arrow and Taylor got a nerf gun.
Bradyn also got his 1st new bike and Taylor got a zoomer robot dog. It was a great day and we even went swimming afterwards. So thankful for the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus being born and his being the Savior of the world!
Christmas Eve
Each year on Christmas Eve we get together at another mission families house-The Davis’-and celebrate together. This year we had a fun tree craft for the kids, sang Christmas carols, read the Christmas Story, have a white elephant gift exchange for the kids, and then had some fireworks.
We miss our families greatly, espeically during this time of year, but we are so thankful for a wonderful mission family that Lord has provided for us!
