Prayer Retreat 2021

We were so thankful to be able to host a prayer retreat in Southbroom, South Africa with our colleagues from Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Pretoria, South Africa.  After a year of dealing with Covid in our countries of service, I think we all were pretty worn down and depleted. We each left the retreat refreshed and ready to go back and serve

Our study we focused on was ‘Praying at the Crossroads’ and was so applicable to each of our lives and situations we are finding ourselves at. The kids also had a program geared just for them and had loads of fun activities.

We did many team building activities from building sand castles to kite flying to Olympic Games to zip lining. Fun times and thankful for our team.

Young Marrieds

We had such an amazing afternoon with our Young Marrieds and so enjoy pouring into their lives. 5 couples have had babies in the last year and they all had a ‘play date’ yesterday during our meeting ❤️ I love that these couples can walk through this time in life together from being newly marrieds to now new parents. A lot of them may have been asking for coffee yesterday...the life of a new parent can be quite tiresome 😂

Baby Boitshwarelo

One of my dearest friends here had a baby recently and due to traditional customs I was only allowed to see her once she was about 3 months old. She is just precious and I fell In love the moment I saw her.
I took her a few extra books we had and I think she already loves to read 😉

Sailing lessons

Who would’ve thought that my kids would learn to sail in a country that is landlocked mostly desert?!? We are so thankful for the opportunity to take them for a weekend long course on the Gaborone Dam and now we have sailing experts...they even learned the art of capsizing and turning the boat back right side.

Mother’s Day

I am so thankful to be called mom by my sweet 3 kids the Lord has entrusted me with. They made my day super special by taking me to lunch at the Gaborone Yacht Club overlooking the Gaborone Dam.  I am blessed ❤️

Vacation

We took some time as a family and did some vacation on our way to our prayer retreat. We LOVE the beach and had a blast soaking in the sunshine. Unfortunately Brent ended up getting a root canal and Amanda had a poisonous spider bite, but that’s nothing that a few doctors visits couldn’t fix 😉

Godparents

We were so thankful to be able to get to South Africa for the first time in 1 1/2 years. We get to experience a lot of things we enjoy like Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks (yum).

Our dear friends Dayne and Natascha recently moved from Botswana back to their home country of South Africa. We were so thankful to get to catch up with them and see their precious baby Aviah. We were so honored when they asked us during our visit to be Aviah’s godparents. We sure do love her ❤️
