Church Plant in Ditshewagne
We have been partnering with national pastor-Moruti Thokwane of Calvary Baptist Church here in Botswana and Cool Spring Baptist Church in Virginia to get a church planted in a village called Ditshewagne (Dee-say-wah-knee) about 2 hours west of our capital city. This Sunday, June 21 they will be meeting for their 1st official church service. Every other Wednesday, Brent travels out with Pastor Thokwane to do bible study and discipleship and have seen many people come to the Lord. This last week they had 20+ people show up. We are so excited to see what the Lord is going to continue to do in this village!!
Armor of God
We have been studying Ephesians 6 about putting on the "Full Armor of God" at the children's Friday ministry at Gaborone Baptist Church. We are averaging 70-80 kids and I would ask that you would pray for more helpers with this ministry so we can impact the children on a more personal level. I love seeing the smiles and joy on these kids faces...it's a highlight of my week!
Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."

Happy early birthday, Taylor!
Since we are leaving for the States for a couple of months, Taylor wanted to celebrate her 8th birthday (June 29) with a few friends from school. We had her friends over for the entire day and the kids painted treasure boxes and then we started a picture scavenger hunt. The kids had to do a list of activities and have their picture taken while doing it. For example, they all had to take a picture of themselves all putting a spoon on their nose, eating a slice of pizza, shaking a statues hand, holding a bug, and smelling a flower, etc. It was a very fun day had by all. We are thankful for our sweet girl and the friends the Lord has placed in her life.
Happy 8th Birthday, Taylor!!

Baptism at Calvary
You know you love a moment when you take a bazillion pictures. That's just what our day held last Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church as they baptized 10 new believers. There are so many things that are so different from our culture that the experiences can sometimes be overwhelming and I mean that in a good way. The baptisms here are a day long event, not necessarily because of the services but because of having to make a makeshift baptism, fill it with water, and then try to heat some of the water since we are now in our "winter" season. Below are some pictures from this special day, we had an amazing day rejoicing with these new believers.

This sweet young lady that the pastor's wife was carrying on her back is crippled and can't walk. She was baptized as well. |

This is a man from the village of Ditshewagne who was recently saved. He and his wife were both baptized this day and will hopefully help with the church plant our in Ditshewagne. |
